HOW to find your authentic, clear voice(s)
- Disentangle your voice from language and song habits. "Free" the voice from pain and tension.
- Strengthen the core voice tone without words, using specific vowel sounds.
- Reintroduce language, song and gestures that support the healthy core voice.
1. Separate the voice from language and gesture habits.
Our voices are captive within habits of personality and language. We have a repertoire of attitudes, gestures and voice tones that we fall back upon that don't always convey our deeper thoughts. Many languages divert our natural voice AWAY from consistent, healthy tonality.

Voice training returns us to the clear tones of our pre-language state. We work with specific vowels that amplify the center, core voice. We slacken our language muscles so the muscles movements that create healthy, clear and strong voice tone can work unimpeded.
2. Strengthen the core voice without language and song styles.
Once free from language and song style habits, you can hear and FEEL the actual tonality of your innate, natural voice.
Qualities of a healthy voice:
- Pain-free. Your innate voice is designed to communicate in great volume and nuance without pain in the throat or neck.
- Clear center tone without sounding gruff, gravelly or shrill.
- An unbroken line of clear tone that extends from high to low without breaks or gaps.
- Able to consciously direct the tone and volume.
3. Re-introduce language, songs and physical gestures that support the core voice.
Once the core voice tone is strong, there is a broader range of expression available. You will find that your language, posture and gestures will have changed and don't suit the new voice and presence you have developed. Voice volume and tone will grow strong and you will likely find yourself speaking less and conveying MORE.
